Jim leads the BVA in developing a plan to provide sustainable tourism for Borrego. He is an active hiker and kayaker who has traveled the globe setting up Geotourism programs to enhance the distinctive geographical character of a place – Its environment, heritage, aesthetics, culture, and the well-being of its residents.
Wade Beane, Program Director
Wade lives, works and plays in Borrego. He is an avid outdoor enthusiast with a long career in environmental education. Wade serves as Program Director for the BVA, manages an organic garden and leads desert tours. You can also find him every day deep in the backcountry, running shoes laced up, exploring the trails of this magical desert.
